Doug Warren is the Director of Development for Rim Hospitality. He started with Rim in 1996 after completing a BA in International Business at Sacramento State University. Doug began his hotel career as a Sales Manager of a single property and quickly moved into a multi unit sales program. After gaining valuable sales insight, Doug moved into a facilities role and learned about remodeling properties, FF&E installation and scheduling routine maintenance contracts. After the completion of a new property on the UC Davis Medical Center, Doug decided it was time he grounded himself and ran a hotel to get an operators point of view. After a brief departure Doug returned to Rim as Director of Development in 2007. He works closely with the SVP of Development focusing on obtaining management contracts covering all hotel brands. Rim Hospitality has great operational systems that support the owner and manager in running efficient and productive properties. His operations knowledge allows him to see the hotel from the inside and point out efficiencies not being utilized and other revenue centers that can be added to improve the bottom line. Doug’s operational knowledge covers a number of brands, both Limited and Full Service. The development team is dedicated to bringing better results, facilitating franchise negotiations, or assisting owners with construction services. Doug resides in Shingle Springs, California on his Dr. Doolittle ranch as he likes to call it. Complete with goats, dogs and fruit trees. Passionate pastimes are golfing, gardening, skiing. |
