SUMMARY
To research, develop, supervise and analyze the sales activities of the hotel. To sell the hotel’s facilities, services, and staff in accordance with strategic objectives and selective selling guidelines in place to meet market driven hotel revenue components. Utilizes principles, policies and standards as a foundation for all actions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1-5 colleagues in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training colleagues; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining colleagues; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four year college or technical school; or 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education with increased responsibility working within the Hospitality industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
